Herro, can anyone help me find a house in Hirafu I can rent. I would be werry happy and hook u up with a case of Stellas or a hole lot of chockies if u r not a beer kind of person. Ideally it would be cheapish, rough and the owner would be looking to tear it down in the near future to build something better on the site. Must have- [ul]A toilet or two with running water and in good enough condition that the ladies would not be grossed out using it/them and Electricity.[/ul] I would like to rent it asap and if possible though the summer of next year too. Anyone know of a house that matches these criteria?

you just described half the hotels in hirafu

How much is 'cheap'. Should be something around this time of year.

Does it have to be Hirafu? Do you have your own car?

if you don't have a car, the accommodation you seek does not exist. kill 2 birds with one stone: invest in a Hiace... and live in it. bathe at the onsen.

Has to be Hirafu as I am going to put a bar in it - sorry I should have listed that as one of the requirements.

Cheap means reasonable price depending on the location and quality of the toilets (for the ladies), looking at from 100,000 yen plus.

Yes, I do have a kuruma.

Anyone know anyone that knows someone who can help me out?

We have a long-term house rental available in lower village Hirafu.
Spacious house, on the older side, not too expensive.
better if long-term (12 month plus).
Tenant to pay utilities on top of rent.

Contact me at ownersproperty@hokkaidotracks.com

Also, have a cottage available in middle hirafu (suitable for one or two people).

Both are available for inspection.

Renting a place to live in around Hirafu wouldn't be hard.. But putting a bar in one? Hmm, you may have your work cut out there.

"you just described half the hotels in hirafu"

Hey rangi why don't you just rent some land and do a pub in a truck like the old Fatty's.
rangi (2009-08-24 08:36:04)
I would be keen to go the truck/container/straw bale shed option but it still leaves the problem of the toilet for the ladies...

Anyone have a nice section of land in hirafu they would like to rent me for the season?
Gtrain (2009-08-24 16:52:13)
From memory alot of the old school bars had porta-loos tek screwed to the back of them. Nothing fancy and rough I know but that's what they were. Hell, heaps of places just had long drops (well actually the drop was very short and unpleasant).

I would like to see what people would think of those places these days.

Try and find out who owns the big lot in front of Youtei Tracks. There have been a few superhouses there the last few years, photographers, waxers, shops like that.
