This is an opportunity for an applicant with some experience in the travel or hospitality industry in a marketing, media or design role. The ideal candidate will have experience of social media and digital marketing.English will be their native language (ideally also some Japanese) and they will preferably have a degree in marketing or relevant field
The Role:
Digital Marketing - The Experience Niseko International Editor will handle the publication of daily blog articles/reviews on experienceniseko.com. They will generate and publish content and organise and track the regular contests and giveaways (including finding sponsorship opportunities for prizes).
Website Oversight - The Experience Niseko International Editor have control of updating all English language parts of the Experience Niseko website.
Physical media - The Experience Niseko International Editor will be responsible for the publication of the English Magazine:
1. 2017 – Summer and Winter editions
2. 2018 onwards – Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter editions
Including:
- Writing/collating articles
- Media pack and advertising
- Liaising with designer and publisher
- Distribution of the magazines.
Website Forum - The Experience Niseko International Editor will set up and manage appropriate moderation of public forums on the Expreience Niseko Website.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Professional, courteous and friendly manner
- Well developed English language written communication skills
- An active user of social media with experience managing accounts
- A tech-savvy person with an interest in online media and digital trends
- Well-developed copy writing and editing skills.
- Able to prioritise and organise work to achieve objectives and deadlines.
- Demonstrates high levels of accuracy.
- Able to work as part of a team, and co-ordinate others, in order to effectively share and complete tasks and provide service coverage where required.
- Computer operating skills - Microsoft Office Suite (essential), design skills (preferred), social media skills (essential), copy writing and editing ability (essential).
- Familiarity with Google analytics
- A working knowledge of SEO and/or PPC advertising
- An interest in web design, user experience
- Detailed knowledge of Niseko resort and area, HTM products and services.
Employment Period: year round
Employment Status: 12 months full time contract.
Annual Salary: 3.5 to 4.5 million yen, depending on language ability
Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan
Working Hours: average 40 hours per week (5x 8 hour shifts)
