Experienced Sushi Chef

Job Description Key Responsibilities: · Preparing sushi · Producing consistently high quality food across daily operations · Ensuring that preparation, presentation and service is carried out promptly and to required standards · Maintaining appropriate stock levels and conducting stocktakes · Demonstrated experience in delivery of western fusion cuisine · Ensure that Customers are served within the effective and timely manner · Maintain a high level of professionalism whilst within the workplace · Liaise effectively with Front of House on special requests or delayed meals · Cleaning and maintenance of operating equipment · Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation · Perform other duties as assigned by Management Skill Set: · Minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a pub or restaurant environment · Trained in the art of making sushi and sashimi · Knowledge of food preparation, production and presentation · Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and to comply with all health and safety obligations · Ability to work within a fast paced environment and adapt quickly to the changing needs · A passion for customer service along with a strong desire to achieve goals & target · Flexible to work various shifts including public holidays and weekends · A high standard of work ethic and attention to detail · An ability to foster team spirit with a positive attitude · A passion for the food and hospitality industry Job Benefits: · One free staff meal before or whilst working a full shift · Uniforms (must bring your own black pants and black shoes) · Recognition for your talents and contribution · The opportunity to make a difference to every customer · Working in a friendly team environment · Staff accommodation to various budgets and locations · Access to shared lift passes. · Discounts to some resort services and winter activities Employment Period Late November, 2016 to mid / late March, 2017 Work experience 2-3years Salary range Dependent upon experience Job type Seasonal Contract Location Niseko, Japan
