IT Support HTM are looking for a passionate IT professional to become an important part of our team. Business-level written and spoken Japanese. English conversational level (desired).
Operating knowledge of IT systems, hardware and software to effectively support and maintain operational IT activities.
Problem-solving skills to identify the issue and provide advice to assist users in solving the problems identified.
Communication skills to effectively relay technical concepts to staff and telecommunication providers with diverse levels of knowledge and understanding.
Customer service skills to empathetically respond to end user inquiries and issues. A positive, flexible, hard-working attitude required.
Knowledge and ability to configure/manage Unix/Windows server, firewalls, VPN, routers, AP's and switches.
Advantage – knowledge of VBScript, C#, Powershell, GAS, and SOE image creation/deployment.
Qualifications and Training Requirements
IT qualifications to a level to provide quality help desk and system maintenance.
A desire to take on new challenges and learn.
A license valid for driving in Japan.
What you can learn
C#, vbscript, Powershell, GAS.
VOIP phone system configuration/deployment.
Server virtualization, administration.
Monitoring solutions for servers and Routers/AP.
VPN configurations and management.
Employment Package Details
Employment Period: Year round
Employment Status: Permanent
Expected salary: 3.6 - 4.3 million yen, depending on experience.
Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan
Working Hours: average 40 hours per week (5x 8 hour shifts)
