Ski School Manager Position Available

Winterlab Snowsports Manager - School Job Description The Winterlab Snowsports Director is responsible for leading the School, with attention to the overall quality of the guest experience. Niseko Winterlab is a small, boutique ski school with a large presence in Annupuri and also Hirafu. Our main office is one minute from the mountain in Annupuri. Manager must have at least a level II ski or snowboard instructor qualification, preferably, level III. Dual qualification a plus. Must be an excellent skier with technical knowledge of skiing/snowboarding and snowsports safety. Past experience in Niseko a plus, but not absolutely necessary. Must be qualified to drive, with an international or Japanese drivers license. Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Year-end bonus based on sales and performance of school. All-mountain pass, cell phone, assistance with visa application if necessary and possible subsidised accommodation. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: - Performing of lessons. - Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance appraisals for the instructors - Supervise the office administrator in the seamless and professional booking and sales of private ski/snowboard lessons and guiding. - Development/training and supervision of ski and snowboard instructors while monitoring the effectiveness of that training. - Assist with work schedules for ski and snowboard instructors, and Winterlab Snowsports Administration - Serve as a role model to instructors and other staff by demonstrating Winterlab core values, and outstanding guest service. *We are also looking for dual qualified ski/snowboard instructors to fill non-managerial roles.
