Job Description Key Responsibilities: · Working as a skiing or snowboarding instructor at Niseko United ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan · Working with other staff members to ensure a positive guest experience · Minimum requirement of teaching skiing students up to a parallel ski turn on green (beginner) slopes · Minimum requirement of teaching snowboarding students up to linking turns on green (beginner) slopes · Teaching guests of all ages and nationalities · Working under various weather conditions and being adaptable to different weather Required Skill Set: · Minimum of 1 year of experience as a ski instructor or snowboard instructor · Must be a certified ski instructor (BASI, PSIA, CSIA, NZSIA, PSIA, or similar) · Must be a certified snowboard instructor (AASI, CASI, BASI, or similar) · To teach powder lessons must be at least Avalanche Level 1 certified · Ability to work within a fast paced environment and adapt quickly to the changing needs · A passion for skiing/snowboarding and the outdoors · A passion for customer service along with a strong desire to achieve goals & target · Flexible to work various shifts including public holidays and weekends · A high standard of work ethic and attention to detail · An ability to foster team spirit with a positive attitude Job Benefits: · Recognition for your talents and contribution · The opportunity to make a difference to every customer · Working in a friendly team environment · Staff accommodation to various budgets and locations · Niseko United commercial ski pass · Discounts to some resort services and winter activities If you are a certified ski and or ski/snowboard crossover instructor who is passionate about teaching, please send your resumes to hr@nisekoaccommodation.com.
