Work Experience Kitchen porter-The Golden Lion Inn, Stithians 2011-2013 Waiter and cleaner – Ocean Lodge hotel, Newquay June 2012-July 2012 Working briefly at this hotel to cover a large school group that were staying there I had to work with other waiters and cleaners to keep the hotel tidy and to serve the guests during meal times Bartender, waiter and kitchen porter – Pandora Inn, Restronguet, cornwall May 2014- present Interests • I play as a prop in my schools 2nd XV rugby team. • I like to do rowing on Sunday mornings at a local rowing club it is key to maintain fitness • I do photography classes with a professional photographer which includes portrait photography, sport photography, landscape and underwater photography. • I am in a position of responsibility as a treasurer for our schools ‘Sixth Form Association’ that aims to improve the experience of the sixth formers at our school • I am a leader and role model to younger students in my school as a school prefect. • I volunteer as a camera man at a local recording studio making music videos for up and coming, and established artists. • I enjoy being creative whether that is cooking, my artwork or my work building a metal arch commissioned by the ‘Friends of Furniss Island’ for the Furniss island park of Truro city. • I make and sell ceramic artwork. • I like to play the guitar, performing for a recent charity concert that I organised to fund for my world Challenge Expedition to Peru. • One of my great passions is travelling. • I try to help some of those in need as a member of my school’s charity and amnesty societies. Achievements and previous experience In the summer of 2013 I went on a world challenge expedition to Peru, exploring the Andes and Amazon. On this trip we experienced different cultures as well as learning to work together in a team with new people and in an alien environment I have completed bronze and silver duke of Edinburgh and am currently doing my gold. For the gold qualifying expedition I went to Slovenia and stayed with a Slovenian exchange family. I have completed a peer counselling course at my school that aims to give me the skills to help others who have problems they need help with.
