can someone point me in the direction of a decent car mechanic? I have tried several in my time here but have yet to be happy with any of them for some reason or another..... maybe because my car is an old piece of junk they don't want to touch it!

Maybe talk to Green Leaf Paul? He mentioned a good mechanic in Kutchan I think, once upon a time.

I have been using the same dude in sapporo for over 6 years now. Fast, cheap, and totally trustworthy if you can handle the drive up there. He's just off the expressway in Higashi Naibo so its pretty easy to drop off the car on the way into town for a night of debauchery. send me a message and I'll give you his contact details.

The guys at Kutchan Toyota ( opp 7-11 ) always looked after me. Maybe not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and i drove a Subaru.

Try Kowa Motors. They have a Suzuki dealers' sign but will service anything, including imports. They are at the edge of K-Town on Route 5 on the right-hand side if you are going towards Otaru.

What kind of the car do you have?
How old is your car?
And can you speak japanese?
