i suppose you know his head is shaped like Mount Youtei and that his name basically means "Fat Potato Boy". Jagata-kun is omnipresent in Kutchan, you shouldn't have any problems finding him.

i've added a "Jagata-kun Sightings" Google map that anybody with a Gmail account can add places to: ==> http://niseko.us/fc <== we'll see if anybody uses it.

also, this is at least 5 years old, but it is still kind of hilarious, if only for the production value: http://www.geocities.jp/waht0136/jagataop.html

Here's some photos from an old version of The Kutchannel:

Thank you so much, Chishiki!

The animation/video is hilarious. I'm loving it!

No items marked on the GoogleMap yet, but I hope some people will contribute. It would be a nice walking route for tourists as well, hehehe...

And these Jagata-kuns you have around town, do they all look the same? Or are there different variants?

sorry for the delay mate yeah they're all kinds of jaga-fam. the character is pretty easy to modify, and it seems people take license to do so. for an (official?) example have a look at the Kutchan Town Homepage.
