Hello all, I have a newborn and am thinking of relocating to Niseko permanently from this season. Any information on pre-schools, kindergartens, babysitting, child health-care, etc would be really helpful. thanks!
Interested in more info on this as well, I got a tater tot on the way. I suspect it depends heavily on what part of the Niseko area you live and work in. I'd live in Kutchan, aka "The Big Smoke", so that's where I focused my research: Preschools (houikuen/hoikusho) in Kutchan: Kutchan, Minami, and Yahata. Kindergartens (youchien) in Kutchan: Megumi, Fuji, and Ryukoku.
I'm sure Niseko town has a few as well, I may look into that later. As far as babysitting, I looked at all of the options I knew about (Hirafu Kids, Niseko Babysitting, etc) but they all look like they're either out of business or focused exclusively on the winter season. I could be wrong, happy for somebody to correct me. I'm sure there's somebody around town who'd want to make a few bucks by looking after your brood.
best to just get here- ask the people in the company that you are working in etc-lots of people with young kids in the area- both Niseko & Kutchan have the services you require- there are also some small japanese groups that have there own small day care services for kids that are not in the public school system as to say- hospital in kutchan- just need to make sure 1 person in the family speaks japanese to make your life easier & to fill out the hundreds of forms.
Hi, I am also new here in Niseko. I have a 6 yrs old daughter and a 2 months old son. Arrived here last week.
Also looking for some informations on this subject if anyone can help. Heard that theres some mothers meet/get together around and would like to join if theres still any.
Also can anyone reconfirm about an International School opening soon in Hanazono?
after speaking with the principal and board members of HIS, they do plan to open the school within this year. that was the plan anyway. Im also considering moving to niseko from sapporo after winter
