Hirafu - Kutchan izumikio what the hell are these guys doing??? Is there a completion date? Do they have budget to get this finished before xmas? I almost broke my wrists trying to hold onto the bloody steering wheel today. Is it not to hard to maybe run a grader over the foot deep potholes at least once or twice a day? :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

Certainly brilliant planning to have the road in that condition just as the season gets started. They are not expected to finish until Feb according to the signs. Another way in which local government shows it's complete inability to plan for and develop tourism in the region. Utter idiots the lot of em.

apparently its going on until February. they had all summer to do this shit but winter construction budget only started in September, probably worked it that way so they could take twice as long on the job and keep those flag wavers in work for longer.

No kidding. I had a lovely drive in from Sapporo this morning, till I got to Hirafu.

What a joke, the roads look like the kind of crap you'd see in Russia.
