Tonight, October 17, 8.30pm There are Irish pubs in every country in the world and now Niseko has one too. Celebrate the opening of Hirafu's new Paddy McGinty's Irish Bar on Friday October 17. Open to the public from 8.30pm with a VIP drinks soiree from 6pm-8pm. Paddy McGinty's will be open year round from 11am daily with an extensive menu, bar snacks and great variety of fine selected beverages including the usual and to be expected Irish Pub Fare, Guinness and Kilkenny on Tap will be served as well as a great Espresso Coffee, Cappucino Café Latte and Cakes. Paddy McGinty's is in the superbly refurbished former Big Cliff restaurant building, just up from the hill from the main intersection in Hirafu.

The Y900 pints will mean few locals will be able to afford to spend a whole night out in the place but I liked it. Good atmosphere and having an actual Irishman behind the bar is a nice touch.

Better than the 600 yen half-pints of drivel served at some of the other places. And don't think of it as a beer, think of it as a meal!:lol:

The more you drink, the cheaper they will seem! Whats everyones favourite drinking establishment in Hirafu anyway? Or more to the point, which one do you find yourself most often in?

I prefer to drink in Kutchan. That way I don't have to drive home under the influence!
