Unsolicited Feedback Volume 1: Niseko Cycle Week Niseko Cycle Week is going into its 3rd year. I love this event, and think community input would be really valuable for making it a success again this year. What do you think could be done to improve Niseko Cycle Week? "Unsolicited Feedback" is, for better or for worse, what The Kutchannel is all about... I'm going to continue to encourage that with this new weekly feature B) Yoroshiku~

Market it better to Japanese people, esp in Sapporo. Don't charge locals to participate. Bring in some pro riders to build up a national rep.

Maybe even rename it Niseko Bike Week and include motorcycles, that would be huge with Japanese in Hokkaido. They could camp out by the welcome center.

I like the bike idea. A lot. A client once suggested to me that they should have a "Niseko Chrome Week"... not sure how much chrome they put on rice rockets though. Could be huge.

What are the alternative camping venues? Doubt Alpen would allow bikers to storm their parking lot and use their bathrooms for a few days. Sturgis in America is HUGE. Niseko could easily be Japan's Sturgis.
