If you would like to spend the winter in Niseko, working with children and having fun, enjoy a lively social life and make new friends then join our fantastic team! We are looking for responsible and enthusiastic professionals who can work independently and unsupervised, making every child's holiday an everlasting memory. You can earn 1,500 to 2,500 per hour. We pride ourselves for the care we provide to our babysitters and clients alike. We take care of you so you can be happy working with us. What we are looking for: Most importantly a genuine interest in children and babies, enthusiasm and sense of humour Independent and dynamic professionals who can work unsupervised. Qualification in childcare, teaching, health or caring Age 20 or over At least 2 year's childcare experience (nursery, teaching, nanny, childminder, mother) Working Holiday Visa Travel insurance with medical Accommodation (we can help you find this) You must speak fluent English First aid certificate Desirable but not essential: Food hygiene background Non-smoker Driver Other languages Responsibilities These will vary from job to job. Some placements will be full time, usually 9am to 4pm, some part time either morning or afternoon only. Some placements will be a mixture of hours in the day or evening. You will be looking after children or babies, ages from 3 months to 13 years, in their chalet or hotel, or will be asked to take them out to play in the snow, meet with other babysitters and children, or to meet with the parents for lunch. Some families might ask you to take the children on a ride in a gondola or sledding (safety first!). Sometimes you just have to take a toddler for a nice stroll around the village and a hot drink. Often your duty will be to pick up from the ski school. You might be asked to carry the children's skis if they are too tired. If you play indoors you will just have to be creative and use your imagination (we can offer training on activities and care). Mainly you will be carrying out duties requested by the eager skiers who will be keen to go out and leave you at home with their precious children, in the knowledge that you will keep them happy and safe until they get back. Niseko Babysitters encourage a friendly but professional and courteous approach to the clients' needs. Pay Rates/Hours of work You can earn JPY 1,500 to JPY 2,500 per hour. The rates vary from number of children to holidays. You also normally get a good tip if the children are happy and the mothers too! Niseko Babysitters offer a flexible service so you will be able to work as much or as little as you wish so that you can fit work around your skiing or boarding requirements.
