Our winter months are our busiest, and so we rely on the support of our amazing winter seasonal crew to help us bring our vision to life. The Opportunity Our team of bus drivers have the responsibility of safely transporting our guests from Country Resort to and from town. This will require a high level of concentration and ability as some of the roads that we take are quite narrow and suffer from snow build up. It is imperative that our drivers are responsible and highly competent as driving around a bus load of people in these conditions can be difficult even in ideal weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Providing our guests with friendly, professional and personalised customer service Simple maintenance on all MnK vehicles including fuel check, bus tyre changes, oil and vehicle condition Shuttling our guests to and from town following all of Japan’s driving and road laws Checking, updating and organising our daily bus schedule Communicating with your team to ensure a smooth flow of operation Providing a safe and comfortable journey for our guests in challenging driving conditions A basic knowledge of our guest services and resort information to pass onto guests Able and willing to perform physical work, including lots of snow clearing Provide guests with local information and recommendations Manage customer complaints in a calm and professional manner Provide support to the Site Manager as and when required Support other teams as and when required Selection Criteria Previous experience in a face-to-face customer service role an advantage Experience operating large vehicles in snow or challenging conditions Applicants must speak fluent English (ability to speak Japanese, Mandarin or other languages an advantage) Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid International Driving Permit for Japan, or valid Japanese Driver's License that covers driving of a vehicle up to 29 seats and 4.9 tonnes (Category D on IDP) Desire to experience a ski or snowboard season in a bustling mountain town Willingness to go the extra mile in order to help out your team Able and willing to conduct physical labour, including snow clearing Working Hours An average 40 – 50 hours per week during peak season (Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year). An average of 20 – 30 hours per week outside of peak season.
