Mountain Operations – Tickets & Trail Staff Job Description As a member of the Mountain Operations team, the Tickets & Trail Staff play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the ski area. This position involves monitoring guests’ compliance with lift ticket regulations, verifying the legitimacy of tickets and passes, and fostering a welcoming environment for visitors. In addition to ticket checking, you’ll be responsible for addressing guest inquiries, assisting with rule enforcement, and collaborating with other mountain teams to ensure a cohesive guest experience. Key Responsibilities and Duties ・Provide exceptional customer service ・Verify lift tickets to ensure guests have the correct lift tickets. ・Thoroughly inspect tickets and passes for any discrepancies ・Enforce ski area rules, prioritizing guest safety and satisfaction. ・Contribute to snow removal and general upkeep of the ski area. ・Collaborate closely with ski patrol, lift teams, and instructors to create a harmonious and efficient mountain team. ・Maintain and care for equipment such as hand scanners and radios. ・Manage and resolve daily issues that may arise, promptly escalating significant matters to management’s attention. Job Requirements ・Proficiency in spoken and written English. ・Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. ・Advanced skiing/snowboarding ability ・Exceptional attention to detail ・Outstanding verbal and written communication. Desirable Qualifications and Skills ・Language proficiency (Japanese and/or Mandarin highly regarded). ・Ski patrol certifications. ・Prior experience working for a ski resort or similar environment. ・Genuine interest in Japanese culture ・Conflict resolution skills.
