To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my interest as a Snowboard Instructor.
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Josh Damarra, I am an Australian, 27 years old and my passion is snowboarding. I became a snowboard instructor in 2016 and I have been thriving in the industry ever since. I am currently a CASI certified Level 2 Snowboard Instructor and Level 1 Park instructor with the goal to work hard and train to become a level 3 and potentially Ski level 1.
I was trained to become an instructor under the guidance of the highly prestigious snow school at Lake Louise Ski Resort and have also worked at Big White Ski Resort both in Canada. I am hard working, professional and easily relatable, my focus is to improve my riding and teaching technique through progression and perseverance to ensure increasing my skill level.
Understanding the importance of professionalism and punctuality is a key aspect to me, listening to and being aware of guests concerns and ensuring the best possible experience while on and off the snow. In my eyes the guests are my number one concern that is why I strive to be as accommodating as possible while keeping in mind safety, learning and positivity throughout the entire lesson. I have a proven track record for time management, organisation, clear communication and development in my students snowboarding skills.
To be given the chance to work for such a well know ski resort in Japan is a once in a lifetime opportunity to me. After visiting Japan for a short while a couple years ago I have been wanting to come back ever since, I immediately immersed myself in the culture and really enjoyed the experience. I understand the challenges that potentially lay ahead however I am convinced whatever the challenge is I will be able to overcome it and enjoy the season.
I am extremely excited to be embarking on a journey to Japan and believe I could be an asset to your ski resort, my CV and other documents can be sent on request.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you
Josh Damarra
